Talk:Timeline

For those who might be wondering where I'm going with this. The articles linked to from this page are not meant to be the most complete word on any given subject. Rather they are being somewhat aimed at the casual browser who is just sort of looking for a brief global overview of history, who might then be enticed into pursuing what might turn out to be an interesting link into something more specific, be it prehistory or whatever.

As such there will be occasions of apparent duplication of information held in regular articles. Ideally the Timeline Articles won't get too in-depth, but will hold just enough for the casual reader to get an idea of the subject matter in question.
