Lothar of Metternich (? - 1523) was the Archbishop of Trier from 1599 until 1623.
Lothar was the coadjutor of John VII of Schönenberg, and when he died Lothar was made Archbishop. Lothar joined the Catholic League to give it stability, and in this manner brought Trier into the Thirty Years' War.
