The National Socialist German Workers' Party (abbreviated NSDAP), commonly referred to in English as the Nazi Party, was a political party in Germany active between 1920 and 1945 that practiced National Socialism. Its predecessor, the German Workers' Party, existed from 1919 to 1920.

The gathering rose up out of the German patriotic, nationalistic and populist Freikorps paramilitary militia, which battled against the socialist uprisings in post-World War I Germany. The gathering was made as a way to draw laborers far from socialism and into völkisch patriotism. At first, Nazi political procedure concentrated on against enormous business, hostile to middle class, and against entrepreneur talk, albeit such perspectives were later minimized with a specific end goal to pick up the backing of mechanical substances, and in the 1930s the party's center moved to hostile to Semitic and hostile to Marxism topics.

Prejudice was fundamental to National Socialism. The National Socialists spread the thought of an "individuals' group" (Volksgemeinschaft). Their point being one to unite "racially attractive" Germans as national friends, whilst barring those esteemed either to be political protesters, physically or mentally substandard, or of an outside race (Fremdvölkische). The National Socialists looked to enhance the load of the Germanic individuals through racial immaculateness and genetic counseling, expansive social welfare programs, and an aggregate subordination of individual rights, which could be yielded for the benefit of the National Socialist state and the "Aryan master race". To keep up the gathered immaculateness and quality of the Aryan race, the National Socialists were believed to have tried to kill Jews, Romani people, and the physically and rationally impeded. They forced exclusionary isolation on gay people, Africans, Jehovah's Witnesses, and political adversaries. The abuse came to its peak when the gathering controlled German state sorted out the orderly murder of roughly six million Jews and five million individuals from the other focused on gatherings, in what has ended up known as the Holocaust.

The party's pioneer following 1921, Adolf Hitler, was designated Chancellor of Germany by President Paul von Hindenburg in 1933. Hitler quickly settled a totalitarian administration known as the Third Reich. Taking after the annihilation of the Third Reich at the finish of World War II in Europe, the gathering was "pronounced to be illicit" by the Allied forces, who performed "denazification" in the years after the war.
