Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben (September 17, 1730-November 28, 1794) was a major general in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. He later served as George Washington's cheiff of staff in the final years of the war.

Homosexuality[]
He was forced out of Badon because he was threatened with prosecution for being a homosexual1. There was never an investigation after the American Revolution and he received a pension after the war.
